Real Estate: Chilmark Luxury Retreat on 3.7 acres abutting Conservation Land. Introspective privacy amidst the trees and stones. Modern yet timeless. Inquire with Suzanne Lanzone.
Hedy Lamarr - the most beautiful girl in the world. A fine portrayal by Shearer (who also penned Patricia Neal in An Unquiet Life) titled Beautiful.

February Grays
I achieved the perfect gray wall color by custom-mixing Benjamin Moore at Edgartown Hardware (color not shown). I was looking for that delicate balance of pale, warm, neutral gray that would blend seemlessly with my furnishings - never appearing too dreary. If you're looking for gray, ask John Montes for Lisa's Latte (my custom-mix - it's in the computer). Developing it took hours, so I'm saving you the time dump. A palette of whites, grays, and mushroom-pale browns swirled together to achieve swatch after swatch on the wall - not to mention, a few trips back/forth to the hardware store. I love it...and everyone who comes by, compliments the color and asks what it is. Sorry I don't have the formula to hand out...but if you live elsewhere, try giving John a call.
EH is not located on Main Street, anymore...they moved to Edgartown/W. Tisbury Rd...the vacant white building, across from the old Edgartown School. Easier parking...that's a good thing when you have several gallons of paint to carry.
Artwork by my imaginative, little G. He loves sharks. I love his art.

The Home of Lulu DK
Just received the latest edition of Lonny, my favorite post-Domino magazine fix.
Lulu's Los Angeles fun house was so appealing (as refreshing as her textile line)...the pops of color and clean lines jumbled together with classic, cottage architecture. She wanted the home to be a mixture of her past - part Long Island/Bahamas/Americana with beach chic, bohemian influence.
Adored De Kwiatkowski's quote, "I like friends and family to feel they can sit anywhere in their bathing suits, put their feet up..."....read more here. Fabulous family photographs and artwork!
Beach-Chill Vibe for Creative Couple
The untroubled, driftwood feel of this Shelter Island home provides the setting needed for interior designers (and owners of the ultra-hip "Ochre" furnishings boutique in Manhattan) Harriet Maxwell Macdonald and Andrew Corrie to procure their imaginations. You feel instant mind and physical leisure, just glancing at it. No wonder so many creative-types prefer island life...the outside visuals are inspiring and remarkable, but the reposed pace allows you to tap into your inner-brilliance.
