Beach-Chill Vibe for Creative Couple

The untroubled, driftwood feel of this Shelter Island home provides the setting needed for interior designers (and owners of the ultra-hip "Ochre" furnishings boutique in Manhattan) Harriet Maxwell Macdonald and Andrew Corrie to procure their imaginations.  You feel instant mind and physical leisure, just glancing at it.  No wonder so many creative-types prefer island life...the outside visuals are inspiring and remarkable, but the reposed pace allows you to tap into your inner-brilliance.

Naturally Classic Icon - Maggie Rizer

Spring 2010, Maggie makes a full-throttled comeback onto the modeling scene, and we welcome her all-American style back with open arms.

The epitomy of a fresh face without makeup.  Clean, simple, confident style.

Sail MV - Seafood Buffet & Auction

The Sail MV event is sold out...hope you have a ticket.  This is one of the season's brightest fundraising efforts held at the Tisbury Wharf, on July 10th (tommorrow), in Vineyard Haven.  A fleet of classic wooden sailboats will be available for viewing, and you can kick up your Jimmy Choo's to the Beetlebung Steel Band...dance until your feet hurt and then kick them off, for a few more rounds.

A few auction items include, generously donated, a house in St. Barts, a villa in Tuscany and an African photo safari - to name a few.  Jaime Hamlin (a Clinton presidential catering favorite) will be tantalizing appetites with lobster delights and other seafood fare.

The Sail MV program is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating and protecting the island's maritime heritage, and provides sailing lessons to children from the age of eight through high school.  Adults are also offered continuing education in sailing safety, captain's licensing, and maritime lectures.  A rowing crew sets off in Grace and Cassie, Cornish pilot gigs, daily for either a 1400 calorie burn (if you were on a boat like my crew), or a moderately-paced run to catch up on local gossip and conversation (always interesting).

So...what to wear?
